An overzealous New England Patriots fan may have to wear shorts for the foreseeable future after getting a "SuperBowl 50 Champions" tattoo on his calf.

The only issue with the tattoo is that the Patriots lost to the Denver Broncos on Sunday 20-18 in the NFC Championship game, one game before the SuperBowl.

Burke O'Connell was the unlucky fan to get the tattoo and speaking to Boston local station WCVB he confirmed that he was unsure he did the right thing after getting the tattoo, days before the Denver game. "Honestly, I just had a bad feeling right in the beginning, and they started losing," said O'Connell.

Denver play the Carolina Panthers in the San Francisco Bay Area in SuperBowl 50 on February 7th.
