Alex Noren overturned a six-shot deficit Nedbank Golf Challenge on Sunday to win by six strokes in South Africa.
The Swede finished with an astounding nine-under-par round of 63 to finish on 14-under-par and records a fourth win of the season, one he describes as the best of his life.
"It's unbelievable," he told Nick Dye. "You know, waking up today I thought if I could get a decent round in - because it didn't feel very good yesterday - I would get the right feeling.
"It just clicked. I don't think I've ever played this well on the greens. All I was thinking about was to get under par for the round. But coming off and starting with three birdies like that is just amazing."
The victory now sees him climb into the world's top 10 for the first time in his career and a fruitful season, he explains, has helped to develop his ability to perform under pressure.
"Now I'll have a lot more confidence now having the lead. Being up here now feels more comfortable and it always helps with a win. Obviously it's been the season of my life.
"My caddie helps a lot, trying to stay patient with me and tries to get me to hit the right shots at the right times. I owe a lot to him. I've said so many times, my little daughter helped me relax and my caddie helps me on the course."
The Race to Dubai now comes down to the final event in Dubai next week, with Henrik Stenson and Danny Willett both continuing to duke it out for the title.
Speaking after his round, Stenson highlighted some of the issues still in his game ahead of the season finale.
"I felt like my swing had more moving parts than my Swiss watch," he said. "I was fighting the long game this week and I think I did pretty well despite that. It was funny, sometimes you can just get that feeling.
"Alex rolled in from 30 feet on the first and got a big jump on the second to almost make eagle. He was playing solid and making those putts, it felt like he was on fire today.
"Danny is always going to have a chance, I'm always going to have a chance and now Alex... Of course with Alex playing as well as he does it just motivates me even more to bring my game next week."
