An "embarrassing" performance over Ulster will spur Leinster on in Pro12 playoff

Mick Kearney says Leinster are already focusing on their Pro12 playoff against Ulster and will hope to improve on their performance after their "embarrassing" performance last week.

"You're expected to go up there and do a job. We more or less came down the road with our tail between our legs. We are going to have the bit between our teeth in two weeks time. We're really looking forward to it."

Kearney started the 50-19 win over Treviso in the RDS, as the team scored eight tries to finish at the top of the Pro12 table after the regular season.

The second-row is still waiting for his first try though for the province. He was originally credited with crossing the try-line in the second-half. It was revealed post-match that Jordi Murphy was they player who got the ball down.

The 25-year-old left the field in the second half with a shoulder injury, but he revealed he hopes to be ready for the playoff. After the match, head coach Leo Cullen confirmed that Johnny Sexton was substituted as a precaution in the second half and no head injury assessment was needed for the Irish fly-half.

Leinster return to action on May 20th, as it was confirmed after the match that they will face Ulster on the Friday night, with Connacht meeting Glasgow the following day.
