Sharing 70 years,213 international caps and two World Cups between them, David Villa and Andrea Pirlo are still humming along nicely in the MLS.

Granted it may be a level below the elite level European Competitions the pair are used to, but that doesn't mean we can't appreciate something beautiful when we see it.

The duo currently earn their keep with New York City and they were in action over the weekend, with former Barcelona star Villa bagging a brace in a 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps at home.

The 2010 World Cup winner was ably assisted for his second by a 2006 World Cup winner, with Pirlo's corner landing on a sixpence for the striker, allowing him to scissor kick into the net.

There you have it, class IS permanent!
