Anthony Joshua hoping David Haye loses to Tony Bellew

IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is hoping Tony Bellew emerges victorious against David Haye when the two domestic rivals meet this weekend.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Joshua said: "It's going to be a tough fight, especially for Bellew, the reason being he's had to move up

"I think it would be a different story if Haye had to drop a weight, which I initially thought it was, and it's going to be tough for Bellew.

"But you know what? I would love it if Bellew landed a 'haymaker' and put a sock in David Haye's mouth for a bit. I'm supporting him."

Bellew is the current WBC cruiserweight champion and is moving up to heavyweight to face Haye. Haye was also a cruiserweight champion between 2007-08 before moving up.

Joshua's support for Bellew should come as no surprise as they are both promoted by Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing.

Joshua is due to face Wladimir Klitschko in a huge heavyweight contest at Wembley Stadium in April.

Ireland's Katie Taylor is fighting this weekend against Monica Gentili and is also expected to fight in Wembley in April before challenging for a world title next year.
