Antonio Conte named LMA Manager of the Year

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been rewarded for an excellent first year in English management by being named LMA Manager of the Year.

The former Juventus and Italy manager won the Premier League this season, finishing more than 40 points better than Chelsea's points total last season. The team could also win the FA Cup Final this weekend.

Conte is the second Italian in a row to win the award. Last season, Claudio Ranieri won the title, for his work at Leicester City.

Despite winning the overall award, Conte was also named the Premier League Manager of the Year.

Former Republic of Ireland international Chris Hughton was named the Championship's Manager of the Year. The Brighton and Hove Albion manager guided his side into the Premier League for the first time. Brighton have not been in the top tier since 1983.

It's the second time Hughton has won the award. In 2010, he led Newcastle to the Premier League too, and was rewarded as the Championship's Manager of the Year.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder was named the League 1 Manager of the Year. It's the second year in a row he has won an award following his League 2 triumph last year, when with Northampton Town.

Former Sligo Rovers manager Paul Cook was named the League 2 Manager of the Year. The Portsmouth boss led his side to win the title on the last day of the season earlier this month.
