Egyptian international Mohamed Elneny has joined from FC Basel
Arsenal have today confirmed the signing of Mohamed Elneny from FC Basel.
The 25-year-old is the first outfield player to join the club since Gabriel Paulista's signing from Villarreal last January. He joins after spending three seasons with the Swiss side.

Elneny made his debut for Eygpt in 2011. He was also part of the team that reached the quarter-finals in the 2012 Olympic Games. They were eliminated by Japan in Old Trafford.
The arrival of Elneny at the Emirates Stadium will be a massive relief to Arsene Wenger after the loss of Francis Coquelin in November. The French midfielder is not due back for at least another month.
