Arsene Wenger brands PSG rumours as "fake news"

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has described speculation that he has a two year deal on the table from French giants Paris Saint Germain as "fake news".

The under pressure Gunners boss has previously stated he will be managing next season and intends to stay in charge for up to four years, even if he does not sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

But Wenger today called rumours he could be heading to Paris next season as a "false rumour".

"It is a false rumour. That is what you call fake news. I formally deny it. It is not true," he told beIN Sports.

After Saturday's 3-1 defeat to West Brom in the Premier League piled on increased pressure on the long time Arsenal manager and also dented the Gunners' Top Four hopes, Wenger explained that he will reveal his future plans "very soon".

Some reports have suggested that the Frenchman intends to sign a two year deal that is on the table at Arsenal while others have suggested that he will leave the club after 21 years.

Wenger has been intermittently linked with PSG since their takeover by Qatar Sports Investment in 2011 saw their transfer market power exponentially expanded.
