Arsene Wenger subjected to disgusting chants earlier this evening from Arsenal fans
Gunners fans have been growing unhappy with the Frenchman as manager19:10 Saturday 30 April 2016, 19:10 30 Apr 2016
Its been a turbulent season for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal, as their promising early season form has dipped significantly in recent games as they watch Leicester City romp home to glory.
A minority proportion of Gunners fans have grown weary of the Frenchman at the club, with another trophy-less season adding to their annoyance.
A selection of those fans gathered outside of the Emirates prior to kick-off against Norwich this evening to let the public know how they feel about their current manager, but how they did it can only be described as disgusting.
So called fans of the club were caught on film chanting "Au revoir, Arsene Wenger, we'll be happy when you die in May" while holding up a banner that read;
Thanks for the memories but it's time to say goodbye'
Despite those protests, there seems to remain a large following who still support Wenger at the helm of the club.
I'd say less than 10% of crowd holding up those poor banners. 'Time for change'. Christ. Like a bad election manifesto.— Miguel Delaney (@MiguelDelaney) April 30, 2016
Protest today, Gooners.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) April 30, 2016
Do it peacefully, but proudly & loudly.
It's OUR club.
Only way Wenger leaves is if you make that clear. #AFCvNCFC
The fact that people responded with 'One Arsene Wenger' chants sums it up. The protest isn't about HIM, it's about the club. Wake up #AFC— James Dodd (@JamesDoddUK) April 30, 2016
