Aston Villa appear to be odds on for relegation as they prop up the Premier League table.

The 6-0 defeat to Liverpool last weekend was particularly horrendous, but it gets worse.

Manager Remi Garde had to watch on as his beleaguered senior side lost another game.

But this time, it was a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of the club's own U21 development team.

Brad Guzan, Alan Hutton, Ciaran Clark, Kieran Richardson, Ashley Westwood, Jordan Veretout, Idrissa Gueye, Leandro Bacuna and Scott Sinclair all played in the match which was played behind closed doors at their Heath training ground last Friday.

With the club in dire straits, that is hardly going to boost morale heading into the final 12 games.
