The BLK Silver Boot Tournament 3rd/4th Place Play-Off may not be somewhere you would expect a comeback for the ages but that's what happened at the weekend.

The Australian pre-season tournament saw National Premier League side Gold Coast City defeat Brisbane Premier League team Holland Park Hawks 8-6 after extra-time.

What is remarkable about the game is surprisingly not the scoreline. The Hawks were leading 6-1 with less than half an hour to go. A first-half hat-trick from Dean Briggs helped the team to a 4-0 half-time lead.

Lyndon Dykes was the hero for Gold Coast. The striker came off the bench in the second-half scoring a hat-trick to help send the game to extra-time.

Gold Coast completed the remarkable comeback in extra-time to win the game 8-6.
