Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards both won crucial matches to move just one win away from reaching the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.

The Celtics, who are the top seeds in the Eastern Conference, lost their opening two games against the Chicago Bulls, but have now won three-in-a-row to lead the best-of-seven series 3-2.

In a 108-97 win, Avery Bradley and Isaiah Thomas both scored 24 points, as the Celtics now move one win away from a series against either Washington or Atlanta.

The sides return to Chicago for Game 6 on Friday evening, with Bulls needing to win to keep their season alive.

Washington or Atlanta await the winners of that series, and the Wizards moved one win away from advancing after a 103-99 win at home.

For the second game in a row, Bradley Beal top-scored for the Wizards, scoring 27 points. Despite being on the losing team, Atlanta's Dennis Schroder hit 29.

Washington now have a 3-2 series lead, with Game 6 taking place in Atlanta this weekend.

Toronto and San Antonio could both book their places in the next round of the Playoffs on Thursday night. They both have 3-2 series leads over Milwaukee and Memphis respectively.
