CJ Stander will miss Ireland's second test match against South Africa after the back-row received a one-game ban this afternoon.

The South African native was dismissed in controversial circumstances during Ireland's historic victory over the Springboks and will play no part in this Saturday's clash.

He was dismissed for this effort on Pat Lambie in the 23rd minute of Ireland’s 26-20 win over South Africa.

referee Mathieu Rayna consulted with TMO, Jim Yuille, before brandishing the red card. A hearing was adjourned after five hours yesterday and continued today before the decision was reached.
