CM Punk claims Conor McGregor hurt some wrestlers' feelings with his digs at WWE

Last month, Conor McGregor had a go at WWE and the wrestlers involved in the promotion.

The UFC fighter had suggested that "for the most part, those WWE guys are p*****s. They’re messed up p*****s if you ask me".

It got to a point that ex-wrestler Ric Flair retaliated on Twitter as he leapt to the defence of his own fraternity.

He wasn't the only WWE affiliated figure who was angered by the comments.

CM Punk, who had been involved in WWE before signing for the UFC in 2014, did not seem overly perturbed by McGregor's comments but confirmed that many others were.

During a UFC 203 conference call, he said: "A lot of feelings were hurt, though, I can tell you that much, which I thought was a little strange.

"It's a hard thing to comment on, because the amount of people who responded to him made me feel like they were told to respond to him."
