Eight of the most impressive records Calvin Johnson has to his name

Calvin Johnson has played his last snap in the NFL, as the Detroit Lion legend decided to call it a day and is "truly at peace" with his decision.

As one of the greatest wide receivers to have ever graced the field, here's a look back at some of the records Megatron has to his name since entering the NFL as the second overall pick in the 2007 draft...and one from college.

8. Fastest to 10,000 NFL receiving yards

Johnson got to the impressive mark in just 115 games, completing the record in a game against the Chicago Bears.

7. Most consecutive games with at least 100 receiving yards

Back in 2012, Megatron had the best season of his career...and any wide-receiver ever. Despite losing against the Falcons, he notched up his eighth straight game with over 100 yards receiving, and was simply unplayable.

6. Back to back seasons with 1,600+ yards

In 2011 and 2012, Johnson managed to get over 1600 yards back to back, a feat that has only ever been done by two other players: Marvin Harrison and Torry Holt.

5. Most receiving yards in back to back games

After 155 yards against the Cinncinatti Bengals, including this amazing catch in triple coverage, he followed it up with over 300 yards against the Cowboys the next week, totaling 484 yards.

4. 2,927 receiving yards for Georgia Tech

There's very little doubt that Johnson was one of the best Yellow Jackets ever, and was certainly their best wide receiver. He will always be remembered by fans for this spectacular one-handed effort against NCSU.

3. Most career games with 200+ receiving yards

Five games overall sees him tied with Lance Alworth, the first of which came in 2011 against Oakland. Two weeks later, on New Year's Day in 2012, he did it again against Green Bay with 244 yards, a game in which he also claimed the Lions record for most touchdowns in a single season with his 16th grab.

In the 2012 season he put two more 200+ yard games on the board against Minnesota and Atlanta, and his ridiculous game against the Cowboys (see below) topped off the list.

2. Most receiving yards in a single game in regulation time

With 329 yards against the Cowboys in 2013, he's second only to Flipper Anderson of the Los Angeles Rams in the overall list, who got 336 yards in an overtime game against the New Orleans Saints.

1. Most receiving yards in a single season

In 2012 Calvin Johnson showed that his position as second overall pick in the draft a few years previous was no mistake, and did so emphatically by claiming the record for the most yards in a single season at 1,964, falling just short of the mythical 2,000 mark.
