Celtic beat Inverness to restore 10 point lead

Celtic restored their 10 point lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League with a 3-0 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Celtic Park.

Goals from Scott Sinclair, Leigh Griffiths and Tom Rogic gave the champions their 10th league win in eleven matches.

Speaking to BBC Radio Scotland after the match, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers said "We were hurt in our rhythm when Mika [Lustig] went off. The idea was to put Stuart Armstrong back to play on that side."

"Inverness are a difficult team to play against and our game plan was disrupted."

"We adjusted it at half time and, within a matter of minutes, we scored the goal and, from there, we were dominant in the second half."

"It was very pleasing after four games when we have been travelling," he added.

Inverness, who are managed by Dubliner Richie Foran, said after the match: "We didn't lose the game today. We lost it last week when we started thinking about playing here.

"Celtic Park used to have that fear factor and Brendan Rodgers seemed to have got that again, because we played with fear today."

"This game was lost before it started. We have been on a good run, but a few of them didn't believe in themselves today."

"If you haven't got belief in football, you're in trouble. Celtic are a fantastic side. They outplayed us."

Elsewhere, Dundee beat Motherwell 2-0, Hearts and St. Johnstone played out a 2-2 draw while Kilmarnock and Hamilton finished scoreless.
