Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers praises team spirit as domestic dominance continues

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has praised the spirit within his squad as they look to continue their domestic dominance.

Speaking to the club's official website Rodgers said: “We are getting through the games very well. At this stage of the season, sometimes the performances are not quite at the level you would want, but what is important in this period is getting the results. I have no complaints about that because the players have been producing performances which have allowed them to get the results.

“For me it’s all about the commitment. The motivation will always be a little bit up and down when there are so many games and training, but what’s important is what you commit to.

“The players committed to a series of goals and achievements at the beginning of the season that we wanted to create this year and, up until now, they have been absolutely brilliant in their focus and effort to achieve them.

“I have tried to manage the squad as best I can to ensure we have freshness, energy and intensity going into the games. We have players who aren’t playing so much, but when they come in they have been performing at a very high level and that’s a credit to how they are training and how they have been concentrated, even when they haven’t been playing.

“Up to now, it’s been a squad game for us and it shows the spirit we have fostered here, that everyone feels part of what we are doing and we have to continue in that way,” he added.

Celtic head to Hamilton later today looking to continue their unbeaten domestic form.
