In the wake of Jose Mourinho leaving Chelsea, Cesc Fàbregas turned to Twitter to send his best wishes to the departing manager.
Thank you for all you have done for me. I owe you a lot and we will all miss you. Good luck in the future. pic.twitter.com/RQlOTFrtzU

However, this proved to be a rather unpopular move with Chelsea supporters, who flooded his timeline with responses that made it clear that they held him responsible, at least in part, for Mourinho's departure.
In the aftermath of a report in the Secret Footballer, it was claimed that the Spanish midfielder was the man behind a player revolt in the dressing room against Mourinho, and while that was retracted, it seems that fans are of the opinion that Cesc had a role in the demise of the club's most successful manager.
@cesc4official you betrayed him

@cesc4official You're a massive part of the reason he's gone! Rather than thank him, you should be apologising to him!

According to reports, until a more permanent replacement can be found, the spot on the Chelsea bench will once again be filled by Guus Hiddink.
