The Clare hurlers will be without Tony Kelly for the next two months.

The 2013 Hurler of the Year has been sidelined with an ankle ligament injury he suffered in training last week.

Clare might not be in All-Ireland championship action until June, but their league campaign gets going on February 14th when they take on Offaly in Cusack Park.

Division 1B then comes to an end on March 20th, before the playoff stage.

Based on the two month prognosis, he would be likely to return in early April.
