Claudio Ranieri on three man shortlist for FIFA Coach of the Year

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has made the final three-man shortlist for FIFA's coach of the year award.

The Italian will be up against Real Madrid's Zinedine Zidane and Portugal boss Fernando Santos.

The 65-year-old former Chelsea, Roma and Inter Milan boss led Leicester to surprise success in the Premier League, as he guided the Foxes to glory for the first time, beating traditional giants along the way.

It was Ranieri's first top division league title success.

Zidane won the Champions League at the first attempt with Real Madrid, while Santos led Portugal to their first major international title with victory at Euro 2016.

Atletico Madrid and France forward Antoine Griezmann joins Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as those up for the Player of 2016 prize.

Messi and Ronaldo have dominated the individual prizes since 2008, with the Barcelona attacker winning the award last year.

Atletico Madrid's Griezmann was the player of Euro 2016 as his goals helped France to the final.
