Cody Garbrandt wasted no time in disposing of Takeya Mizugaki at UFC 202 this evening, making a strong case for a bantamweight title bout with Dominick Cruz.
It took just 48 seconds for Garbrandt to finish the fight, an impressive TKO as a result of a devastating combination of punches.
The Ohio native started on the front foot, dominating the centre of the Octagon and expertly took his opportunity as soon as he saw an opening in the Japanese fighter's defence.

The result was his seventh first round finish of a career spanning 10-0. The win is also his fifth consecutive in the UFC.
With this in mind, and with bantamweight champion Cruz looking on, he wasted no time in seeking out a title fight.
