Put March 5th in your diaries!

Overnight reports in America claim that Conor McGregor is to fight Rafael dos Anjos for the UFC Lightweight Title at UFC 197 in March.

Bleacher Report claim that the fight will take place in Las Vegas in either the MGM Grand or Mandalay Bay. The UFC Women's Bantamweight Title will also be on the line as Holly Holm looks set to fight Miesha Tate.

A March 5th fight would mean that McGregor would have less than a three month turnaround after his 13-second demolition of Jose Aldo for the UFC Featherweight Title in early December at UFC 194.

The fight against dos Anjos would be McGregor's first at Lightweight in the UFC. He last fought at that weight in December 2012 when he won the Cage Warriors Lightweight Title in his last fight with the promotion.
