Conor McGregor's historic win at UFC 205, which saw him become the first fighter to hold two titles in two weight division has not been enough to see him top the organisation's pound-for-pound rankings.
McGregor's second round knockout of Eddie Alvarez, saw the Dubliner add the lightweight title to his featherweight crown. 'The Notorious' joined BJ Penn and Randy Couture as the only two-weight UFC champions. Both men have since been inducted into the UFC's Hall of Fame.
UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson remains the pound-for-pound king. The 30-year-old have fought 12 times in the UFC, and has won his last ten. Since winning the flyweight title in 2013, he has successfully defended the title on seven occasions.
McGregor's leap to the #2 spot, is the highest the Dubliner has been, since joining the company. A long unbeaten run for the Dubliner, or a shock Johnson loss may be the only way he reaches the top spot.

Johnson returns to the octagon on December 3rd, to fight the yet unnamed winner of The Ultimate Fighter: Tournament of Champions.
No current champion in the UFC has has more that four successful title defences apart from 'Mighty Mouse'.
