With an interim UFC Featherweight title already in his possession, it will hardly be a surprise if Conor McGregor has at least one eye firmly fixed on his next fight.
That is going to be against Jose Aldo, who he had been due to fight on Saturday night, but the date is what is really up in the air, especially with the UFC coming to Dublin on October 24th.
MMA journalist Mark O'Toole was at the MGM Grand to see McGregor defeat Chad Mendes live and he spoke to Oisin afterwards about the chances of the Dubliner returning to the octagon sooner rather than later.
"He has publicly said he wants to be on the Dublin card in October in the 3Arena. Speaking to a couple of UFC officials, speaking to a couple people close and high up in Conor's camp and John Kavanagh, I think it's probably unlikely," said Mark.
