The club say that he is awake and talking
Crossmaglen Rangers have confirmed that the club's player Ruairí O'Neill has woken from a coma and is "out of danger".
The under-21 footballer had contracted meningitis and had been critically ill.
But the Armagh GAA club have announced the good news that he has now "regained consciousness and is awake and talking".
The club's announcement on Twitter added that the 18-year-old is now "out of danger".
The student helped Crossmaglen win the Armagh Under-21 championship this year.
