The Brazilian is out of contract with the club this summer and the news does not come as a huge suprise given Juventus' sporting director Beppe Marotta's recent comments that a deal with the Brazilian right-back was close to being complete.
"I can confirm that talks with Dani Alves are going well and that we're satisifed about that," Marotta said.
He did not want to confirm the deal but also suggested that Stephan Lichtsteiner will remain in Turin despite the imminent arrival of Alves.
Juventus are aiming to win their sixth scudetto in sucession and while Marotta was a little more coy on a possible deal for Valencia's Andre Gomes and Barcelona's Javier Mascherano, he was confident that the Alves deal will be pushed through in the coming days.
Barcelona are also facing a battle to keep Javier Mascherano and possibly Neymar if reports are to be believed. The back-to-back La Liga champions will have to replace Alves with top quality in order to keep pace with Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.
Hector Bellerin is touted to be the man to fill Alves' shoes when he leaves.
Alves posted this picture to his instagram in which he says he was delighted to have the priviledge of wearing the Barcelona shirt and has lots of great memories of the club.
