Europe captain Darren Clarke says Danny Willett will speak to his brother about a controversial blog post published in the lead up to the 2016 Ryder Cup.

In the article, Pete Willett was critical of American crowds and did not hold back in his words on how Europe can silence the USA crowd at Hazeltine.

The article included lines like "baying mob of imbeciles" and "pudgy, basement-dwelling, irritants".

It hasn't gone down well with Clarke, nor with Willett as the captain explained.

"I just was made aware of the article about an hour ago. As soon as I did, I went out to find Danny, who was playing in the last group out there this morning. I spoke to Danny about it. I showed it to Danny. And he's bitterly disappointed in his brother's article. It is not what Danny thinks. It is not what I think. It is not what Team Europe stands for," said Clarke.
