Dimitri Payet tempers transfer rumours with declaration of loyalty to West Ham

Dimitri Payet has spoken out to quell murmurs of a possible transfer from West Ham, and says he is dedicated to the club.

Payet was one of the stand out players from Euro 2016, putting in impressive performances along France's route to the final. His displays led to rumours of interest from various top clubs across Europe with the club's co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan rating him in the £50m-£100m bracket earlier in the week.

Goalkeeper Darren Randolph, who also enjoyed a prosperous campaign for Ireland, stated last month that retaining Payet's services would be vital for the club, as they prepare to settle into their new Olympic Stadium home for the upcoming season.

In an interview with the Daily Express, he said:

"Dimitri is different class and it’s massive for us to keep him. I really hope he stays. You’ve seen it in the tournament and against us, he’s a match winner and he makes things happen. He’s a special player. That’s why he’s sought after around the world. He could cause anyone problems."

And the French midfielder, who has scored nine goals in his 30 Premier League appearances, has now come out to say that he is happy to stay at the Premier League and has no interest in moving away.

He told The Sun:

"I've heard about all the interest and I'm flattered. But I love West Ham. We had a fantastic season and I can't wait to play in the Olympic Stadium.

"I'm 100 per cent staying at West Ham, I love the club. I can tell the Hammers fans that."
