Donald Cerrone made it three wins from three in the welterweight division as he beat Rick Story at UFC 202 this evening.
Cerrone landed four clinical shots - a strike to the head, one to the body, another to the head and then a head-kick - to force the stoppage.
The pair looked quite evenly matched in the opening round, both managing to get a takedown, but it was Cerrone who looked more composed when the pair stood toe-to-toe.
The Colorado native used leg kicks to his advantage, but it was his striking which gave him the advantage. Cerrone landed clinical shots toward of the end of the first round to earn him 10-9 on the judges scorecards, but didn't need it in the end as Herb Dean was forced to step with just under two minutes of the second round remaining.
