Dundalk and Derry City have played a 2-2 draw in the FAI Cup semi-final at Oriel Park.

With a place in the final at stake, holders Dundalk took a 1-0 lead thanks to Dean Shiels on 21 minutes.

And they moved even closer to another final when Europa League goal hero Ciaran Kilduff made it 2-0 on 45 minutes.

However, Derry fought back, first through Rory Patterson who left the scores at 2-1.

The Candystripes equaliser then came on 86 minutes through Ronan Curtis.

The replay will take place at the Brandywell on Tuesday.
