Dundalk get back to winning way as they stamp their authority at St Pats

Dundalk have got back to winning ways in emphatic style as the reigning League of Ireland champions hammered St Patrick's Athletic 4-0 at Richmond Park.

Dundalk were coming into the game on the back of a defeat to title rivals Cork City, while Pats had overcome an opening day setback against Galway United to record three wins on the bounce.

But Stephen O'Donnell put the away side in front after just nine minutes for the only goal of the first half.
