Dustin Johnson moves into the joint-lead at the US Open

Dustin Johnson has moved to the top of the leaderboard, at the rain effected US Open at Oakmont.

Johnson remains one of the best players in the world, not to win a major. Last year, the 31-year-old finished second to Jordan Spieth after he three-putted on the final green to lose by a shot.

The World number six is the co-leader with Andrew Landry on -4. Landry, along with the majority of the field have yet to begin their second rounds.

Shane Lowry is positioned perfectly to have a memorable weekend. The Offaly native is on -2, but is yet to begin his second round. Graeme McDowell is on +3 after completing his opening two rounds and will be around for the final two rounds.

Former champion Rory McIlroy is in danger of missing the cut. He lies on +7 as he waits to begin his second round on Saturday afternoon.

Numerous weather delays have meant that the the first three rounds will all potentially finish a day later than scheduled. Johnson wont mind. The luck of the draw means he can enjoy life at -4 while his rivals continue to plod their way around the Pittsburgh course.
