Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn reckons reigning WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will be stripped of his titles after withdrawing from a second rematch with Wladimir Klitschko.
Fury was pulled from the bout, set to take place on October 29, after he was judged "medically unfit" to fight.
Reports indicate that Fury may be suffering from depression and is not fit to take on Klitschko, which may lead to governing bodies stripping him of his titles.
"It’s not a case of 'oh, that’s a bit harsh', this is a business for the governing bodies as well and they have had enough," said the Matchroom boxing promoter.
"It’s just a case of how quickly Peter Fury, Mick Hennessy and Tyson Fury will go on a legal battle to keep the belt, it is going to take time.
"I don’t think he will fight again. How can you unify the world heavyweight division, beat Wladimir Klitschko in Germany and mess this up so badly?
"What’s going to happen now is everybody will work against him. All the governing bodies and Wladimir Klitschko, it will get really bad."
Fury, 28, was absent for the a pre-fight press conference earlier this month, claiming that his car had broken down en route.
In a statement released by his camp they say Fury's condition is "too severe to allow him to participate in the rematch and that he will require treatment before going back into the ring" and adds "Tyson will now immediately undergo the treatment he needs to make a full recovery".
Fury was in attendance at the Manchester Arena on Saturday night to watch his cousins Hosea Burton and Isaac Lowe in action on the undercard of Anthony Crolla’s bout with Jorge Linares.
