Eden Hazard contrasts Conte and Mourinho's Chelsea methods

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard says the environment has been very different at Stamford Bridge this season.

Antonio Conte became manager in the summer and has led the club to the top of the Premier League after a difficult start to the campaign.

Midway through the last season, Jose Mourinho was sacked as manager as Chelsea went from champions to 10th place in the space of 12 months.

Hazard has now told Sky Sports News that there is been one big difference in each coach's preparation.

"Tactical training, we do more with Conte. We know exactly what to do on the pitch, where I have to go, the defenders [also know] where they have to go," said the Belgium international, who won FWA Footballer of the Year and PFA Player of the Year under Mourinho in the title winning 2014-15 season.

"With Mourinho it was just he put the system, but we didn't work a lot [on that system]. We know what to do because we play football, but maybe the automatism was a little bit different."

After holding Liverpool to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday, victory over London rivals Arsenal would definitively end the Gunners title hopes and move the Blues one step closer to a second league triumph in three years.

Hazard himself has thrived since Conte switched to the 3-4-3 formation, with Marcos Alonso's presence behind him at wing back allowing him to play closer to goal and with less onus to contribute defensively.
