England beat South Africa as they win their 10th straight test match

Eddie Jones' England continued their impressive 2016 with a first victory over South Africa in a decade.

Following on from their grand slam in the 6 nations and test series clean sweep in the Summer against Australia, England beat the Springboks 37-21 at a wet Twickenham earlier today.

The Springboks started the brighter taking a 6-0 lead via a penalty and a drop-goal from Pat Lambie.

England eventually clicked into gear with Jonny May and Courtney Lawes touching down as the home side began to take control of the match. They led 20-9 at the interval.

Second half tries from George Ford and Owen Farrell confirmed the 37-21 win despite South Africa scoring tries by Johann Goosen and Willie Le Roux.

Elsewhere, Scotland were denied a win over Australia after Tevita Kuridrani scored a try in the 76th minute which was converted by Bernard Foley.

It was the first time the two sides had met since their contentious match at last year's World Cup. The Scots were looking to avenge that controversial defeat.

Scottish centre Huw Jones dotted down twice in the first half, either side of an excellent Reece Hodge score for the visitors.

Jonny Gray scored to make it 22-13 to the home side before a Foley penalty brought the Wallabies to within six points.

As the Scots desperately held on for a famous win, Kuridrani broke through their midfield defence to snatch the win.
