England fans clash with Police in Marseille

Two England fans were arrested on Thursday night in Marseille as rows broke out between fans and local teenagers in the city.

England begin their Euro 2016 campaign on Saturday evening in the city against Russia. Fans began arriving in Marseille in large numbers on Thursday morning.

According to the Daily Mail, England fans were heard chanting; "ISIS, where are you?" as security continues to increase around the country ahead of the opening game between France and Romania on Friday night.

18 years ago, English fans caused trouble in the same city after a World Cup game against Tunisia. At least 30 English fans were arrested as supporters from both teams fought outside the stadium before and after the game.

The trouble on Thursday night, was caused by a small group of fans, but organisers will be worried of the behaviour of all fans during the tournament.

England play games in Lens and Saint-Etienne in their final two group games. If England finish second in their group, they will only return to Marseille, if they reach the semi-finals.
