Ex-Ferrari chairman says he's "pleased to know" Michael Schumacher is reacting to treatment

Former Ferrari chief Luca Di Montozemolo says seven-time Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher is reacting to treatment.

The ex-Ferrari driver suffered severe head injuries in a skiing accident in December 2013.

The 47-year-old has been treated at his home since September 2014, although little is known about his condition and progress.

Di Montozemolo offered some hope regarding the German's rehabilitation.

"I’m very pleased to know that he is reacting. I know how strong he is. I’m sure that thanks to his determination, which will be crucial, he will come out from this very, very difficult situation," he said to Ecumenical News.
