FAI announce extra allocation of Euro 2016 tickets for Ireland fans

The FAI have revealed that over 6,000 new tickets have been allocated for Ireland fans heading to Euro 2016.

It now means that 32,502 tickets are now available to Boys in Green fans for this summer's tournament, although there have been over 250,000 applications for those according to UEFA.

"An extra allocation of tickets for Euro 2016 has been made available for Republic of Ireland supporters.
6,502 more tickets have been received will be for the three Group E games against Sweden (June 13), Belgium (June 18), and Italy (June 22)," said the FAI.

Reacting to the news, the association's CEO John Delaney said he thinks it will satisfy the extra demand for tickets.

"I am very happy to say that following meetings with Nyon, Switzerland last Friday UEFA have awarded Republic of Ireland fans with 6,502 more tickets. These tickets will go some way to satisfying the huge demand for Ireland matches at EURO 2016," he said.

Republic of Ireland v Sweden - 16,087 (13,000 + 3,087)

Belgium v Republic of Ireland - 7,095 (6,000 + 1,095)

Italy v Republic of Ireland - 9,320 (7,000 + 2,320)
