An Irish fan who had been missing in France since yesterday has been found safe and well.

Lee McLaughlin from Co Donegal had last been seen on Tuesday afternoon at the Ibis Paris Montmartre hotel.

He had been due to fly home that day, following Monday's game against Sweden, but missed his flight back to Ireland.

Mr McLaughlin's family issued an appeal for information after being unable to make contact with him.

The Irish Embassy in Paris confirmed he was located this morning.
