Fan's emotional call to BBC 5 Live sums up what it's like to be a Leicester fan at the moment

A long-suffering Leicester fan called in to Radio 5's 606 program live on the BBC last night, and let the emotion of seeing his side climb to the top of the table get the better of him.

At Christmas last year, lifelong Leicester fan Lee would have been simply hoping beyond hope that his side would stay up, but 12 months on it's been a complete turn around as they sit top of the Premier League.

Speaking to Robbie Savage and the rest of the 5 Live crew, Lee couldn't hold back the tears as he spoke about going through the bad times and seeing this amazing run take place.

He spoke about his son wanting to support one of the big teams like Manchester United, Arsenal or Liverpool, but he stuck by his guns: "I stuck by my guns, I said listen sunshine, wear the Fox, wear the blue, we will come through, and all of a sudden he turned round to me today, looked me in the eye and said to me 'Dad, this is amazing'".

His show of emotion beautifully captures just how much joy this spectacular run of results has brought to Foxes fans, and you can listen to a clip from the call below.
