Five changes to Ireland's Six Nations squad ahead of England game

Joe Schmidt has named an extended 34-man squad for Ireland's Six Nations clash with England in Twickenham on Saturday evening.

The Leinster front row duo of Cian Healy and Mike Ross return to the squad after proving their fitness. Both players missed the games against Wales and France and are expected to feature for Ireland for the first time since the World Cup. Tadgh Furlong and Rob Herring are both suffering with thigh muscle injuries according to the IRFU and will remain with Leinster and Ulster to rehab.

Mike McCarthy, Sean O'Brien and Dave Kearney were all ruled out of the remainder of the Six Nations after the loss to France in Paris. The trio are replaced by Dave Foley, Jordi Murphy and Craig Gilroy.

Connacht stars Finlay Bealham and Ultan Dillane are the only uncapped players in the squad along with Leinster's Josh van der Flier and Ulster's Stuart McCloskey.
