Floyd Mayweather claims he offered Conor McGregor $15million for a super-fight

Talk of a Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight is not going away.

Both men have previously spoken about facing off in a boxing match. Last year, the UFC lightweight champion was granted a boxing license in California last year.

Speaking to ESPN's First Take on Wednesday, Mayweather confirmed his team offered the Dubliner the biggest guaranteed paycheck of his career.

"We tried to make the Conor McGregor fight. They know what my number is. My number was a guaranteed $100million."

The 39-year-old confirmed he was looking at the bout taking place in either Los Angeles or Las Vegas.

"I don't know how much money Conor McGregor has made. He hasn't even made $10million in an MMA bout. We are willing to give him $15million."

While confirming the offer was made to McGregor, he added that there were no negotiations on who was the star attraction of any potential bout.

"We can then split the percentage, the back-end percentage on pay-per-view. But of course, we're the A-side."

"How can a guy talk about $20 [million] or $30million, if he's never made $8 [million] or $9million? Conor McGregor keeps telling everyone he wants the fight. Let's make it happen."

It looks like this story is to continue, and continue, and continue.
