Four French golfers earn World Record after completing a Par-5 hole in less than 40-seconds

Four French European Tour golfers have become World Record holders after completing a Par-5 in only 34 seconds.

The record took place at the Valderrama Golf Club earlier this week ahead of the Open de Espana. To earn the record, the Par-5 had to be over 500-yards long and the hole had to be at least birdied.

Romain Wattel, Alex Levy, Gregory Havret and Raphael Jacquelin all took shots and broke the previous record by exactly 34 seconds, halving the previous record.

Teams from Spain (captained by Sergio Garcia) and Denmark (captained by Thorbjorn Olesen) also took part in the event but were unable to break the French time.

Life as a World Record holder has clearly helped Levy. He is currently in third place, going into the third round of the Open de Espana.
