Cork's ladies football team made the now almost annual journey to Crumlin's Children's Hospital with the Brendan Martin Cup on Monday morning.

The team defeated Dublin by a point on Sunday afternoon, for the sixth title in a row. The win was the third year in a row where Cork defeated Dublin in the decider.

Along with manager Ephie Fitzgerald, the Cork squad brought the trophy around the wards and met Cork fans Ciara Ashpen and Mary O'Donavan along with other patients from around the country.

The win added to Rena Buckley and Briege Corkery's historic careers. The win over Dublin won the duo their 17th All-Ireland title in either football or camogie.

Monday evening will see the team return to Cork, with a homecoming set for the South Mall at 8pm.
