The Lions have arrived in New Zealand ahead of their ten-match tour of the country.

After leaving London Heathrow on Monday, the team touched down in Auckland on Wednesday afternoon local time, ahead of Saturday's opening match of the tour. The team face the New Zealand Provincial Barbarians on Saturday in Whangarei.

Captain Sam Warburton led the team into Auckland Airport to be greeted by a Maori welcome. It is the first time the team have toured the country since 2005, when the side lost the Test series 3-0.
