UCC prevailed in their Fitzgibbon Cup quarter-final tie against DCU earlier today.

Tipperary's Michael Breen scored a decisive goal to secure the 1-18 0-16 win for UCC, as they go in search of their first Fitzgibbon Cup since 2013.

Elsewhere, Mary I continued their Fitzgibbon title defence with a comprehensive quarter-final win over NUI Galway.

Both winning sides will now progress to the finals weekend, which is due to take place at the end of the month.

The next round of quarter-finals are coming up tomorrow with UL facing IT Carlow and Limerick IT taking on UCD.
