Galway United go top of the Premier Division

League champions Dundalk, Galway United and Shamrock Rovers are the only teams with 100% records after Friday night's second round of Premier Division fixtures.

Galway United are top of the table after a 4-0 win at home to Bray Wanderers. It took Tommy Dunne's side until the hour mark to open the scoring when Kevin Devaney found the back of the net. The Westerners scored three times in the last ten minutes to move to the Premier Division summit. Paul Finnegan scored an own goal before Vinny Faherty and Ruairi Keating scored in the following five minutes to send Galway top of the table.

Dundalk continued their impressive start to the season with a 3-0 at home to Finn Harps. Goals either side of half-time from Ryan Barrett and Ryan McElaney, plus a late Ryan Curran own goal gave Stephen Kenny's side the win. In Tallaght, Wexford Youths held out for an hour against Shamrock Rovers before Danny North broke the deadlock, scoring his second goal in two games. Gary McCabe scored from the penalty spot in added time to help maintain Shamrock Rovers' perfect start to the season.

In Dalymount Park, Bohemians recorded their first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Sligo Rovers. Kurtis Byrne scored inside the first fifteen minutes beating goalkeeper Micheal Schlingermann from outside the box. In Longford, St Patrick's Athletic overcame their home defeat to Galway last week to win 1-0 in the Midlands. Christy Fagan scored the games' only goal to give Liam Buckley's side the three points.

Derry City surprised Cork City in The Brandywell with a 1-0 win. The game was Derry's first at home since the tragic death of Mark Farren and the striker was remembered by both sides during the game. Ronan Curtis' second-half goal was all that separated the teams.

There is a full list of Premier League fixtures of Monday night including a Connacht derby, as league leaders Galway United travel to Sligo Rovers. League champions Dundalk travel south to Wexford Youths.
