Bohemians and their fans continue to lead the way as one of the most socially conscious sporting organisations in the country.

Fans of the Premier Division side revealed a "GayBohs" flag on Friday night as the club defeated Sligo Rovers 1-0 in their opening game of the season. Kurtis Byrne scored the game's only goal in the opening 15 minutes.

The Phibsborough club have come out in support of marriage equality and welcoming refugees in 2015 and Friday night's statement from their fans was another step in that direction.
