Graeme McDowell enjoys top 20 finish in Dubai

Graeme McDowell shot a level par final round to finish with a share of 13th at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic on Sunday.

McDowell got off to a fast start with a birdie on the first hole and picked up his second of the day by picking up another on four. This was offset by back-to-back bogeys on eight and nine.

Around the turn, the Antrim native picked up a shot on 10, before giving it back with a bogey on 14. He closed out his round with pars to finish the tournament on eight under-par and inside the top 20.

Greystones golfer Paul Dunne, meanwhile, shot a final round 69 which saw him jump 12 places in the leaderboard.

A strong back nine saw him card birdies on 10, 13 and 18 and finish alongside American David Lipsky and Thomas Aiken among others in a tie for 42nd.

Sergio Garcia was crowned winner this afternoon, carding a 69 in the final round to finish three shots clear of Swede Henrik Stenson.

With the win, Garcia becomes the first Spanish winner on the European Tour since Pablo Larrazábal at the 2015 BMW International Open.
