Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths revelled in his sides's lopsided 5-1 over arch-rivals Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday.

The champions beat their cross city neighbours for the fifth time in six meetings and comprehensively outplayed the Blues in front of their own fans.

Speaking to the club's official website, the striker said: "It’s a real statement to come here and play the way we did. I think in the last 10 minutes, we took our foot off the gas a little bit, and in the end it was five going on seven or eight with the amount of chances that we created. We gave Rangers very limited space and we played to our maximum today.

"I think the way the tactics went allowed us to be more comfortable. They played in a diamond which gave us more room on the sides, and you could see in the first-half how many problems that caused. They changed it in the second-half but we still managed to get on the ball and make things happen."
